AATE 2023 Conference
held at the Crowne Plaza Seattle-Downtown
July 27-29, 2023


In 2023, we welcome AATE to Seattle, a city of neighborhoods. Based on our theme of “Illumination,” we hope to bring light, attention, and energy to artists, companies, practices, and communities which have not been regularly seen at the national conference level. We will introduce attendees to a range of artistic and educational communities from across the greater Seattle area. Attendees will hear presentations, see performances, and have opportunities to get to know these communities, their voices, and their resources. This includes paying honor and attention to the Pacific Northwest’s indigenous communities, who continue to value and steward the unique features of this special place.

When deciding on your pricing level, please consider that your registration fee is essential in supporting AATE to provide programming for theater and education practitioners year-round. We need your support to ensure the stability and future of AATE.

AATE wishes to make programming available to as many individuals in the fields of theater and education as possible. Registration is open to AATE members and non-members. If you are not a member of AATE, we encourage you to join (there is a tiered scale for membership). The support of our Members ensures our ability to continue to provide the national theater and education community with vital resources.

AATE's 2023 Conference will be a mask-optional event. However, we will take temperatures upon each entry into the Conference.
