Alexis Truitt
Executive Director

Alexis Truitt is the Executive Director of the American Alliance for Theatre & Education (AATE), where she has served in a range of leadership roles, including Director of Operations and Managing Director. Prior to joining AATE, she spent three years as Program Coordinator for the Changing Education Through the Arts (CETA) Program at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. She holds a Master of Arts in Arts Management from George Mason University, a Bachelor of Music in Voice from The Boston Conservatory, and a Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate from Georgetown University. Her early career included internships with the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop and English National Opera, as well as an Allen Lee Hughes Fellowship at Arena Stage. Outside of AATE, Alexis is a longtime volunteer with The St. Mark's Players, where she has worn many hats over the years, including Board Member, Treasurer, Director of Community Engagement, and Artistic Director. As Executive Director, she is honored to lead the AATE community and to champion the power of theatre education for every young person.


Fabian Rodriguez
Playwrights for Change Festival Coordinator

Fabian is a recent graduate of Skidmore College, he studied arts administration and theater with a focus on acting and directing. Fabian enjoys working with artists to create new works and theater for social change. This upcoming fall Fabian will be doing a fellowship with Arena Stage in D.C. working with the development team. Fabian looks forward to working with AATE this season and getting to know the team.
