Alexis Truitt
Director of Operations

Alexis Truitt spent the last three years serving as Program Coordinator for the Changing Education Through the Arts (CETA) Program at the Kennedy Center. She holds her Masters in Arts Management from George Mason University and her Bachelors of Music in voice from The Boston Conservatory. She has had the opportunity to intern with the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, English National Opera, and was a Fellow at Arena Stage. She also volunteers with The St. Mark’s Players, where she has had the opportunity to wear many fun hats--including Board Member, Treasurer, and Director of Community Engagement. Alexis is thrilled to join the AATE family as a staff member and looks forward to working directly with the membership. 


Katie Putnam
Volunteer Coordinator

Katie Putnam is currently getting her MA in Strategic Communication at American University in Washington, DC. Prior to moving to DC, Katie grew up in Raleigh, NC. She attended North Carolina State University, where she received her BA in English. After graduation, she taught High School English for a couple of years before pursuing a different career path. She has a passion for the arts, especially musical theater, and hopes to work for a performing arts center or museum in the future. Education outreach within the arts community is her prime area of interest. Katie is excited to work as the Volunteer Coordinator this summer and looks forward to a great national conference in New Orleans.

Sophie Greenberg
Marketing and Membership

Sophie Greenberg is originally from New Jersey and is a rising junior at American University in Washington, DC. She is currently studying Public Relations and Strategic Communication. She has a strong interest in the performing arts and practiced in a dance company in New Jersey for several years. Her goals include combining her interest in communication and the performing arts. When Sophie isn’t studying or working she enjoys exploring Washington DC and trying different restaurants. Sophie is very excited to join the AATE team this summer to work with the marketing and membership aspects of AATE.

Sarah Sidoti is the Managing Editor of Education and Arts & Humanities Journals for Taylor and Francis Group, LLC. In this role, Sarah serves at the managing editor of Youth Theatre Journal.
