AATE 2022 Conference

July 28-31, 2022

We are so excited to be hosting our upcoming 35th annual (and first-ever hybrid) conference Arriba el Telón (Raise the Curtain) in Providence, RI at the Rhode Island Convention Center from July 28-31, 2022. Providence is home to a vibrant theatre community of multicultural artists, for whom performance is an integral part of their cultures and communities. Accordingly, this conference will center around bilingual and multilingual theatre education, giving our members insight into theatre education as a means of conveying intergenerational knowledge and histories. In addition, as our first post-COVID in-person conference in two years, this will be a moment where we will celebrate and support the courage and creativity of those artists and educators who help bring our communities closer together and support each other in the profession through challenges.

When deciding on your pricing level, please consider that your registration fee is essential in supporting AATE to provide programming for theater and education practitioners year-round. We need your support to ensure the stability and future of AATE.

AATE wishes to make programming available to as many individuals in the fields of theater and education as possible. Registration is open to AATE members and non-members. If you are not a member of AATE, we encourage you to join (there is a tiered scale for membership). The support of our Members ensures our ability to continue to provide the national theater and education community with vital resources.
