All of the following sessions will be hosted on Zoom Meeting. You will be sent an email, 24 hours prior to the next day's events, which will contain all of the log-on details for each event. As in an in-person Conference, please feel free to select whichever workshop you would like to attend in the moment. Network: College/University Teaching Drama in Education in the University of Ghana: My Perspectives about Ghanaian Indigenous Games Session Chair: Tabitha Harriet Deh (PhD), Department of Theatre Arts, University of Ghana Practice as research (PaR) is the method I am adopting as I explore Ghanaian indigenous games as teaching tools for students and teachers. I have included four different games for this proposal. The games below will be done in an activity form with some students.1. Anhwe Atwere (Dont look back)2. Sansankroma (Stone Game)3. Ampe (Jumping Game)4. Kyekyekule (The Rhythm Game) Network: K-8 ARTS! Muncie; Immersing Undergraduates in an Elementary After-School Program Session Chair: Andrew Waldron Other Presenter(s): Melanie Swihart Join us for a session sharing a collaborative, immersive-learning program where undergraduate theatre and dance students join together to create after-school programming for local elementary schools. Members of the ARTS! Muncie project, both faculty and students, will share the process, take participants through some of the activities, and reflect on the journey together. We will also examine how this program could be replicated in other communities; as a partnership between tertiary and elementary school spaces. Network: Various Virtual Poster Session Presenters: The inaugural year features 8 scholars representing a vibrant cross-section of artistic pedagogies, praxis, and scholarship. |
