Diversity is a Verb WebinarPreviously Presented Webinars: Walking the Walk: Presented by Kelly Prestel Tuesday, February 9, 6-7:30 pm Eastern Time
Description: How do we go from talking the talk to walking the walk in providing more diverse and inclusive arts education and programming? Join the American Alliance for Theatre and Education for a practical webinar to address the steps you can take to build and grow inclusivity in your organization, classroom, and/or theatre. The facilitator will guide participants through some basic action items to help make your arts education spaces more diverse and inclusive, drawing on case studies of culturally competent arts organizations and her own study of inclusivity. The facilitator will highlight real-life successes and challenges of institutional practices in inclusivity and how those lessons can be applied to your practice. Participants will be given resources and tools that you can use to immediately adjust the lens through which you plan.
